The world’s best kayak anglers are heading to China to compete in the 5th Hobie Fishing World Championships. Shang Lake lies near Changshu city. The name “Shanghu” comes from a legend that Jiang Shang (1156 BC- 1017BC), a famous statesman and strategist, sought seclusion for a great part of his life, fishing in the lake, prior to having a great impact on the ancient Chinese civilisation.
The official accommodation is all class with it’s own western style and Japanese restaurants, a bar, swimming pool and gym. It has a fast internet connection and Google and Facebook can be accessed. Located right in the heart of Changshu, a supermarket, KFC, Starbucks, MacDonalds, pharmacies and restaurants are all within walking distance.
